Social Media Intern
Location: Remote / NYC + NJ Preferred
Type: Internship (Part-time)
Duration: 1 year commitment, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on performance
Reports to: Social Media Manager / Marketing Team
About the Role
We’re looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join our team at byAVA and help grow our brand presence across digital platforms. You’ll support content creation, community engagement, and analytics reporting while learning the ins and outs of social media marketing in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling social media content across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.)
- Research current trends, hashtags, and competitors to inform content strategy
- Support influencer collaborations and campaign execution
- Help organize and maintain the content calendar
- Brainstorm fresh, creative ideas for growing brand engagement
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field
- Must be comfortable in front of camera
- Passion for social media and familiarity with major platforms and trends
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Creative eye for visuals, layout, and storytelling
- Basic knowledge of Canva, Photoshop, or video editing tools is a plus
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
- Eager to learn and contribute to a collaborative team
